Winona Ryder confirms Beetlejuice sequel

Winona Ryder confirmed on Monday that a Beetlejuice sequel is in the works on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Michael Keaton and Tim Burton have also already confirmed their participation.

“Um, I think I can confirm it, because Tim Burton did this interview — like, it was very hush hush, top secret … and then he was doing some press for Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said, ‘Oh yeah we’re doing it and Winona’s going to be in it,’ and I was like [shocked face].”

The 1988 film Beetlejuice is remembered fondly by audiences and critics alike. The story revolves a round a young recently deceased couple who haunts their former home and calls in a mischievous ghost named Betelgeuse to help them evict the obnoxious new family living in their house.
